Materials Care & Jade Grading Guide | Tiny Buddha Statue
The Soul of the Stone: Understanding Our Jade
At Tiny Buddha Statue, we exclusively source Grade A Natural Jade. Unlike “B” or “C” grade stones found elsewhere, our jade is never chemically bleached or artificially dyed. It is the earth’s raw energy, polished to a luster.
How We Grade Our Jade
- Texture (种): We look for “fine-grained” structures that give the stone its signature oily, smooth touch.
- Translucency (水): Our premium pieces allow light to pass through, creating a “glow” that appears to come from within the stone.
- Character (花): Natural jade often contains “Stone Veins” or “Cotton Clouds.” These are not flaws; they are the “DNA” of the earth, proving the stone’s organic origin.
The Precious Metals: Gold & Silver
We use high-purity metals to ensure your amulet stands the test of time and remains gentle on your skin.
- 925 Sterling Silver: A blend of 92.5% pure silver and 7.5% copper for durability. Look for the “925” hallmark on our chains.
- 18K Gold Vermeil: This is not your average gold plating. We apply a thick layer of 18K Solid Gold (minimum 2.5 microns) over a Sterling Silver base. This provides the weight and richness of solid gold with superior longevity.
The Ritual of Care
To keep your Tiny Buddha radiant for years to come, we recommend the following daily rituals:
| Material | Do’s | Don’ts |
| Jade | Wipe with a soft, damp cloth after wearing. | Avoid heavy impacts or ultrasonic cleaners. |
| Gold & Silver | Store in a dry, airtight pouch when not in use. | Avoid perfumes, sea water, and harsh chemicals. |
| All Pieces | Put on your jewelry last after getting ready. | Never wear during strenuous exercise or sleep. |
“Jade Nourishes the Wearer”
There is an ancient saying: “Man nourishes the Jade for three years, and the Jade nourishes the man for a lifetime.” Over time, the natural oils from your skin will interact with the jade, making it appear more translucent and vibrant. This “living” connection is why a Jade Buddha Necklace becomes a deeply personal heirloom.
